Also, on the other thread Oleg said that they try to make the damage more invidual to all the bullets, but there's an limit on how far they can go. Making the bullets really make real holes is possible but with everything else on SOW, it would need an hyper PC to run the game. Let's hope there will even be decals for all the bullets, would be cool.

But the thing is, when SoW is done, they arent going to touch the game mechnics too much afterwards. Like IL2, there's lots of expansions etc. but the game has been practically the same, with only very small adjustments.

I dont know, maybe I was just hoping for something different than pre-determined bulletholes from a flightsim that has cars with suspension and openable doors.

An update from Oleg over at the ic forums

Below is the last of this year development update.
Note: it is work in progress. We may see other final result in future

Screenshots of Bf-109 internal construction that to show the complexity of the work and for understanding of time that we need to spend for development. Sample: Up to 20 separate damages of single engine modelled.

We also will have a big boat flying in BoB. It will be controlled by AI:

The grass in 3D engine. Note: it is just test version. Finally of course it will look way better. Currently we are on final stage where defined all the features of our new 3D engine. Some of them will be hidden in release that to be open with the series life in time. But to put them we need already now as a future feature… Grass will be in release. It is moving under the wind. The size of grass will also play real role for the wheels of aircraft…

Think i gonna need an upgrade when this gets released

Ah, the Tiger Moth. I heard ppl talk about this over at JG53 TS last night, but didnt catch what they meant. Tho, I must say, this isnt that big of a thing, this could have been easily be done in IL2 too. Just put a gunner seat to, let's say the U-2, but take out the gun and make the "gunner" face forwards. :hmm:
