Default smoke and "hollywood" mods used together

i was out on patrol the other day, and i launched a torpedo that sent a destroyer to davy jone's locker! anyways, i had the "hollywood" mod that adds the exploding crew members to the burning ship, and then i added the "extra smoke" mod as well. my point is that since i added the smoke mod, i havent seen any exploding people. during that patrol i sank 5 ships, with the same result. has anyone else encountered this problem?

Never tried that combination, but I am pretty sure that one mod overrided the other, or some file is interfering with the other mod.
I am only guessing here, but you should try to disable one of them and see if the other works, and then inverse te operation.
If after enabling both of them you get the same result, then clearly ther is a conflict between those 2 mods.
