Need some help guys..

i have played all the different version's of sh+ace and love them. i can take all the bugs that come with sh3 as well, but this one is driving me crazy. i cant seem too get my insignia on my hull not even in my in game missions dose it show my flotilla sig. this is really bugging me because i hate looking at a sub with no markings. it takes from the feel of the game allot. is there a past topic on the matter too a fix or could someone just show me here..

i need this fixed..

Welcome to Subsim Kool-Aid.

What process are you using to put your emblem on?

You need to get the image you want saved as a square say 200x200px .TGA file. The GIMP or Photoshop will let you take pretty much any image and save it in whatever image format you want.

Then you have to stick it in the data\Emblems\SubEmblems. Once it's there and you have a sub in port and you have I think about >1500 renown, you just select the emblem you want from the list. If you don't have enough renown then you can't add anything but the flotilla emblem IIRC.

What I do is open one of the existing emblems in the data/emblems folder, in my graphic program. Then change it to my liking and save it in the same folder as a new file.

Then put it on my boat in the game.

yea, i know how too make them from playing sh2 but don't see a in-game way of setting one up, not even in on-line play. your saying something about having too have 1500 renown i need too set one up. so i don't start off on campaigns with my flotilla emblem, i need points too get it? i don't see a way too set it in-game, hows it done?

In a campaign when your in your office click on the U-boat desk then click on specials you add your emblem there once you find an emblem you like double click it and click yes

Just in case,when you are in Campaign, you can choose an emblem right after you finish your first patrol, not before.

why ?
its more fun to sail out with a emblem on your first patrol

then the brits know (im using a dragon) "look out for the U-boat with a dragon emblem. no one has survived an encounter with him."

and they also know im not diving anymore so they try to kill me but get killed instead

hmm.. i cant get the 2nd flotilla emblem too set at all, strange. i can set it in my specials but it wont show on my sub. mabe its a 1.45 bug. I'm gonna try too try the 1st flotilla and see if it will set in that mission.

Is the sub Uberboot because theres a known issue with the UV mapping
for the type VIIC4 conning tower that will often distort the emblem
or occasionally not show IIRC.

whelp, it looks like the emblem works just fine if i start in the 1st flotilla unit. it just sucks because of where that unit starts and the fact i always run out of fuel in the first sub all the time. the missions are too far for the sub too reach + i cant find crap for targets as well.

go in the second flotilla

they have IXB's and start from Willemshaven...
but whatever IX you use... DONT USE U-124

where there ever any finish u-boat crews. they did fight the Russians on ge's side. my understanding is they only fought the Russians with ge not anyone elise.

from what i know russians invaded finland so they where at war with russia.
