well, it happened again
but this time, after having installed a fix for it, i'm gonna restart my career from 1943 after having been retired
 . hopefully things'll get back to normal. all i need to know, is, what class boat from that point on. had been using a Balao

A Balao gets you mothballed. AFAIK any other sub will do as long as it's supported by the port.
