Exclamation Issue with renaming my boat.

Strictly speaking, it's not a problem with renaming per se', but an occasional issue that stems from it.

Once on my computer, and once on my mates, I have renamed subs using the Roster/Ships/American/etc etc method. This, for some inexplicable reason, leads to the game either only allowing me to start my Career in Pearl Harbor in 1941 (despite selecting the Asiatic Fleet), or it gives out the same mission constantly (My mate has Reconnoitered Yokohama 5 times and counting )

Is this constant same missions thing present in unmodded copies, or is it inexplicably linked to renaming ships?

Any input is welcome. Thanks lads.

From the 1.3 patch notes

Quote:
• Eliminate the instances where the player gets assigned the same mission multiple times, even though the game is meant to give you variety and different missions, of course depending on historical context

Renaming your boat is extremely bad luck.

Repeated missions are a bug, can't help with not being able to go Asiatic. Try another starting year and see if Brisbane works?

I started with the Aisiatic Campaign and never had a major problem with this. If you follow the logic of the game you will minimize this type of thing.

The other thing that occurs to me is that people who start with "S" boats should not expect a variety of missions or locales, because that is not what happened. "S" boats were limited in their capabilities, so being sent to the Celebs Sea to patrol and sink shipping is pretty much what did/should happen.
