Lusitania is on Sunday at 7pm (CST) on Discovery HD channel. By some perverse coincindence, Titanic is also on one of the other HD channels -- no doubt edited for content.
I figure some of the video was filmed in HD, so there should be a significant advantage over 512i or whatever SD is. Judging by Bismark and Portland (other "disaster" shows that have been on), it should be a show worth watching. |

The BBC showed this (non-HD) last weekend, it's a lot more drama than documentary but well worth a look.

Yep, it was a docu-drama of the worst kind, too. My thread post was more accurate than I expected. The movie was almost identical to Titanic, just missing hot naked chicks and a decent music score. Total bummer. I really hate the docu-drama style. If I wanted fiction, I'd have watched Harry Potter or looked through Nancy Pelosi's income tax statement.
Bismark and Portland were good, though. I don't really like watching James Cameron, but there was more footage and factual information than bunting. So, Lusitania is a skip. |
