Does anyone know if these boats are totally beyond salvage... Since the whole bunker is filled with gravel..?.. And is the bunker really located on private property? This is a blow to history, IMO.. |

As I understand it, in the past some salvage work was allowed. I think parts of the engines or rear portions of one or some of the three boats was removed. Since then it was decided it was no longer safe to allow access.

Lets just hope that they filled the bunker with gravel because of the condition of the boats + the danger involved, and not because they were some kind of bad memories from WWII... Good thing that they managed to salvage some items ...
