No permission?

Trying to check a couple of member's public profiles (wanted to track some mods) and got this message?

Ok joea, calm down, it can be easily explained. Now, just look at the red light for a moment:

How are you entering their profiles? I am asking because there are several ways.
And could you maybe specify what profiles you where trying to view?
