I think i found out why Ubi set the wave variables so low in the sim.cfg. The stock SH4 wave settings are:

I suspect that if you want better waves you'll have to run a single mission at 15 kt winds and keep adjusting the wave settigns by trial and error until you have one that can tread water in storm conditions. Oh yeah, also, small craft like elco's?,... BOOOM. They blow up and slowly sink. Same ole bug from SH3 we ran into quite a bit with elco's on fire and such..

Not this again , there off there heads
. BTW can sobers 3Dwaves mod be applied to SH4 . I have no idea . There doesnt seem to be any white caps on top of waves .

I dunno about white cap's but at 15 kt winds and the larger waves, i had a whole lot of foam.
