Is there any way to make all contacts on the nav map grey, like was done in SHIII? I hate not having to id the ship flag before attacking.

I find myself just opening fire at all targets anymore without even thinking about it. I mean, I know it's hostile before I even decide to chase it, so... (To be fair, the crew isn't really ID'ing it outside visual range. Radar contacts ARE just in grey, and are't even differentiated between surface or air contacts - they are all grey squares at first. And yeah, it'd be nice if WE - the player - had to ID the target. Of course, I hate to harp, but...until we get true higher resolution and FSAA options, the crew is just going to be able to ID better than we can.) |
