So, what do we know about it? I don't know much. Found some page. Someone please compare it to the other subs for me. Looks like it's a smaller costal boat.

It's the older WWI "Sugar Class" boats carrying 12 "Mk. 10" torpedos.
They (dev team) were not gonna include this class in SH4 but loud howling from the gamers will put it in the first 1.1 patch... JIM

thx @ Sailor Steve!
anyone could give a short explaination why did the US Subs had better underwater speeds, compared to the u-boats of the germans? Better batteries/engines? Better hull design? Except for the Type XXI and XXIII other german boats did hardly reach 8 knots or less as far as i know... The more i read about american submarines, the more i came to the conclusion they where far superior to the german designs (except the electro boats), even if they could not reach same deep levels perhaps |

They didn't. The S-class was an exception, and I'm not sure why they were faster. US fleet boats were no faster underwater than the Germans.

So, all this means we'll have the Group I and Group III S-boats, correct?

Tried it in game. It doesn't seem to have an interior conning tower, just command room + bridge.

Or could it just be a favourable weight versus horsepower ratio? |
