Mission creator problem

hi all

having problems in Mission editor,
set the date to Apr 15 1945
27 brit and US ships in the convoy, 7 escorts, all linked to a lead ship and that lead has waypoints.

my sub plus 4 AI subs.

messages all run correctly, and tested in Mission editor,, no problems,

One big problem though,,, No convoy shows up in game play,

Also the AI subs start on course and speed, then the first message, and to all stop they go,

You have to be very careful about the dates they will show up as OK
in mission editor
if you put in a ship with a date in the future it wont show up
its tedious but without being able to clearly identify the problem
I have to go with my instints and I have had this symptom whereby
some or all of my chosen "group" dont show without errors.

all ships must have a commisioning date that predates mission start
to show up.
