Crew comes and goes

I'm going into my fourth patrol with the stock version of the game and I've noticed some of my crewmen are now gone and some new guy has replaced them. So my question is, does this game simulate crewmen transfers and the like?

Are you using SH3Cmd?

If you do there is a realistic transfers option where crew members get transfered to different boats.

Just straight SH3, I havent downloaded the commander mod yet.

That's odd. I don't remember something like that happening in SH3:hmm: To be fair though I've lost count how long ago I played the stock version, so I might be wrong. Sorry I cannot be of more help

Are you patched to 1.4b for the stock SHIII? That could be the cause but not sure. I you're not get it here at the bottom of the page.... http://patches.ubi.com/silent_hunter_3/

You only need the 1.4b patch for your geographical area..... 1.4b emea not the US patch. Unless your SHIII dvd came from the US.

Yes, I'm patched up to that, so I guess my original claim of "stock" was a little off, i had to go back and look because I forgot.

Being 'patched' to 1.4b IS GOOD mate...and def not the reason for your missing crewmen. might I suggest you download SH3Cmdr v2.71 and let that programme deal with your 'crew management'

Alright, just downloaded commander, I guess now whatever happens so be it. thanks for the help guys.

Don't forget that if you do not want to lose crew members you should not tick the 'simulate realistic crew transfers' (or something like that) in the options menu in SH3Cmd.
