I believe this is included in GWX. Which is pretty much an essential installation for SH3. Give it a go

yer i tired to download gwm but it says that they are out of bandwith or something..

so in the meantime i have downloaded a collection of mods and really the only thing id like to add is the removal of the crosshairs from binocs..

Yes if you use a program called SH3 Commander 2.7. (its also GWX compatible but be sure to read the readme if you install it, i remember something about an aditional file to use whit gwx and sh3commander. But all that can be found on the dl site)

Its a program you install and then you start the game from it.

it have many features but one of them is that you can set the transparency/water clarity.

Just search the forum for the program and you will find many post about it. Both where to dl it and how it works.
