Patch v 1.4 problem

I don't know if this is the right place, but maybe somebody can answer a question for me. I downloaded the v1.4 patch, but when I installed it, it said it was updating to the v1.3. Is this right. Here is the name of the file I downloaded:

silent_hunter_3_dvd_1.4b_us

I know it's the right one, but why won't it update all the way to v1.4b?

Welcome

The patch is labelled as 1.3 in the installer but once it is finished installing you will have 1.4b ready to go.

You can check this by running SH3 and (IIRC) in the bottom right cnr of the main menu screen is should say Version 1.4

I've had this game for over 6 months, and I'm just now getting back into it. I downloaded the GWX, what else would you suggest?

If you have GWX, then I suggest the Dec 23rd Fix & SH3commander 2.7.

Will they work together? I was just reading about SH3Commander. Do I need JSGME to run SH3Commander?

Do you have the GWX Manual? It has a lot of info about the installation of these parts....

Ok, you have a 'clean' patched copy of SH3 1.4b.

Install GWX
JSGME is automatically installed at the same time (inside GWX installation folder)
d/l & Enable (via JSGME) the Dec 23rd Fix for GWX.
d/l & Install SH3 Commander.
d/l SH3 Cmdr GWX Cfg files.

(SH3Cmdr is a standalone program which offers a lot of 'extra' features)
