I emailed Martin about that but he hasn't responded. The email didn't bounce but it's all a bit worrying.

Coming back from my (short) holidays yesterday I noticed that A SINGLE user (IP-Range 194.6.233.XXX) had tried to kill the entire DLC by flooding the system maliciously with thousands of requests for the same file.

The IP is blocked now, UBRS DLC up - and I bet it's even harder now to bring it on it's knees: In case of high demand and request peaks the systems switches automatically to an exclusive server, where the database alone then runs on a Intel Core2 Duo 1,8 Ghz / 2 Gig server. I mean - such a server for ONE database - should be sufficient for GWX.

I see a lot of new uploads...I'll transfer them, let's say, in the next 48 hrs: The usual things you have to to when you just came home have priority NOW. I spent the last 1.5 days just to negotiate with techs and my hoster.

Should we him, or him. I wonder if that would have any relation to the Dorks & No Mann3erz brothers from the June incident.

What idiots finds pleasure in busting up a site like UBRS? The site runs on dedication and donations, and are a much appreciated tool in the general naval & submarine simulation community! I could understand if they attacked some political servers, but then i'll guess that those b@#tards dont have guts to do that! Woooo, "big hackers", up my shiny, tight @ss!

Just a supposition but, could all this hacking of UBRS be a plot to destroy it by those that have commercially used the "Free" mods for their own profit?
