I meant 800 meters not feet

Mods I have only installed TWOS and then enabled a couple of the optional ones.

It really didn't make any sense that I could lock (spacebar) them with the UZO but not with the periscope

Maybe because periscope is X6 and UZO bigger? Don’t remember the UZO magnifying though

A couple of weeks into my 3rd patrol, so far the only sightings have been a couple of neutrals, an armed merchant cruiser (my torpedo was a dud and just let it go) and 2 ship convoy, 1 torp per ship and both down for a whooping 4k tons. Pretty pathetic, I think BDu is gonna sack me

Where are the large convoys in the western approaches?! BDus contact reports from the captains log are useless (too far away), nothing from my radio man as far as contacts... Its middle of november 1939, cruising around AM51 like for a week and nothing... How frustrating it must have been for the real ones... Where are they?!

@Javigato

You need to know where the shipping lanes are,And you have to be patient.
There are enough huge convoys out there

Right, I thought AM51 should be a chocking point for 3 convoy routes, but so far it's empty. Doing the whole 1 or 2 hour runs in the surface and hydro checks manually. Nothing. Did a couple of the hydro scripts. Nothing. TC no more than 128... Perhaps I should move to a different grid?

Look at the shipping lanes chart from theberbster

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=141

When you are on a shipping lane, wait a bit using time compression

Yes, new to Sh5. So am I.

It is by far the most frusting game ever.

I downloaded it, I patched it, it works. Almost. No matter what difficulty I chose, it shows enemy position on map. I dont want it. And no, I am not stupid and I know I can put my campaign on ****ing realistic. But this piece of **** game ALWAYS shows it in campaing mode. Not in Tuts, not in Missions.

**** it. I am not wasting my time. This game is more complicated and painful than giving birth to a giant albino negro baby. I am done. Havent played one mission, but I am done.

Hi DB
In game play settings un-tick "No map contact update" as in the picture.

Change when in the bunker and then make a game save before starting a new mission/patrol.

Apparently, you aren't very insightive either... Campaign difficulty customization is done in between patrols and from the bunker/base since first SH games.
But, do not despair! At least you're doing trash language pretty well...
