Number of depth charges?

Just wondering which file controls number of depth charges on enemy DD's?

are they unlimited or ?

Sunk "Wounded Bear" in RSRD in May 1942. Her escorting dropped charges and damaged me heavily and hunted me for 10 hours, but mad a ton of dry runs. They had me but never dropped another charge after 4 hours even though pinging and making dry runs.

Seems like they ran out of charges?

That is set in the DC_R_KG.sim.

Where is this file located? I see DC_X_H.sim

@Bubblehead1980, the DC_R_KG file is found in the Library folder of FOTRS, it might even be found in other mods as well?, I haven't seen or heard of that file being in the stock game of Silent Hunter4.

Running TMO RSRD. In RSRD under library/shipparts I see a .sim file for depth charge launchers and it contains the number of charges for racks. y guns and k guns. wondering if this is file for IJN vessels though, it seems off. Lists the racks with 100 charges and the y guns with 28? k gun with 8 . confusing.

I would look in that library/shipparts folder and check every gun_radars.sim file for something similar to the image I've posted, find out which ship it belongs to and decrease the charges to zero and test them out.

This was a question I raised a while back. Not fond of being DC'd to no end! With slim to none escape!

What was the number of DC' s carried by individual war ships and also DD attack groups? Also was the amount carried less in the beginning of the war than in latter part of war time?
I was thinking that the # of DC would be lower then increasing as more shipping was being lost over the course of the war.
So if this is true to historically correct numbers, is this something that can be modded as well?

I only have mumbers from british and US ships but they have 30 at the start of the war and 200 + Hedgehog at the end of the war.
