Default Your favorite GWX-compatible add-on mods?

Been a while...

What's everyone's favorite GWX-compatible add-on mods? It's been years since I've played.

I'm sure I'll get some snarky "check this thread and read through 30 pages of bleh bleh bleh" but I'd like someone's personal opinion on what's their essential can't miss mods for a pseudo newbie. Well, at least a "i haven't played in the last 5 years" newbie.

Since I use more than thirty mods on top of GWX, I'll stick to what I consider the single most important tool of them all, and that's SH3 Commander.

When playing GWX3 (amongst other mods), I have actually little additional stuff loaded:


- Conus Widescreen Mod
- SH3 Commander + special GWX files for it
- Enhanced Damage Effects
- Music in game (music for intro screens and menus)


The mod is clearly focused on campaign with a behemoth of 500+ pages manual. For me it makes no sense to load additional mods that may hamper the gameplay and screw the mod in some way. I have never completed a full campaign with this mod, so I cannot judge how good it is overall, and this would be a pre-requisite for me to say "The mod needs more stuff loaded".

First you play the stock game, then the mods. You don't mix a mod soup right at the beginning before knowing the game well - unless you must correct bugs. And I've seen no bugs in GWX3, it's very stable, maybe the most stable mod for SH3.
