Default 688i now Available on GOG

688i Hunter/Killer is now available on GOG for those who want the game and do not wish to fool with Steam.

EDIT: The SCSoundEdit program is still needed to extract all of the sound effects from the .AGG file so it can play the sound effects.

Thank for the tips! Getting this and “Dangerous Waters” from GOG. Still play DW on disk on retro Win7 desktop.., so this gives an alternative.

Not being too impressed with GOG or Steam! You can go the The Internet Archive and download the sim for Free! The author said the sim is Not copy-protected! Mine works great on Windows 7 64 bit!

Cost me less than half a cup of my usual coffee.
Have it already but for that price, didn't really care. GOG support old games so I am happy to support them. Call it a donation if nothing else.

I could use a little help. I just got the game from GOG. How do I get it to run on Windows 10? I run the game, it plays, but no sound effects. Also, when I run the mission tutorial, nothing happens. How can I fix these issues. Thanks.

Default Welcome back!

bsub!...after a 4-year 'silent run'! Now that it's free, I'm looking into getting this game myself.

Download Dgvoodo 2 from http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/.
Copy the content from the MS/x86 folder (4 .dll files) into the main directory of DG, let them overwrite existing files. Thats all.
You can also copy the Dgvoodoocpl.exe from that Dgvoodoo archive into the main dir of DG for individuell settings.
