Default GUI GWX Classic 1360x768 (not HD yet)

Hi, everyone.
I am pleased to pass to use the GUI GWX Classic v.1.01 1360x768.

This GUI mod is based on elements of
- Conus' SH3GWXWS 2.3,
- WS Nav Beta 1.01 Attack Map by Rubini and
- Colored Hull Integrity by H.Sie (incorporated).

Keeps all possible elements of the original GUI GWX 3.0, fixes all GUI errors found. Almost all elements of the view that were centrally located in the old 1024x768 view are also centrally located in this widescreen GUI. There is almost no trace of the fact that SH3 was designed on the old CRT monitors.

Big 32-bit textures have been changed to the 24-bit since alpha channel in background textures is a waste of memory. Redundant part of all textures, including any blurred transparency mask are removed. All solutions (eg red masks) were converted into resizable and scalable (prepared for any resolution).
With these properties, GUI GWX Classic not only does not increase, but even more saves memory than the original GUI SH3 1024x768, not to mention other GUI Widescreen (145 MB instead >300 MB).

GUI includes an option allowing for the inclusion of the original gray bar, or left this element a fully transparent.

Special thanks to:
* Seeadler
- For his very well-functioning d3d9.dll file that allowed at all for the different user interfaces for the SH3.
* Conus
- For the 2D textures that really speed up work on this project
* Rubini
- For taking on the implementation of the first widescreen GUI, as well as its WS Attack Map Nav Beta 1.01, which helped lead the texture map to the best order
* H.Sie
- For the idea and make his 4-color indicator hull integrity

A nice and easy package.

Just tested it, and work like a charm.

I just hope one day there will be a WS-Mod that will allow us to sail in 1600x900.

So far i was restricted to my desktop PC to play SH3 in WS. The day i can play i underway on my laptop will be cool.

We defenietly need 1680x1050 GUI

Yes perfect, what I was about to say... Its bad enough you can't use SH3 Voice on Windows XP unless you know some way, the on top of that we have to use the cut "ratio" at 1280x1024 which almost kills the game. Not sure why the modder here created this, there's already 2 GWX WS 1300x768 resolutions, so I don't see the point, no disrespect to the creator. I guess I just wish there would be a 1680x1050 so I can finnaly start playing on my widescreen monitor on desktop. You can already use the 1.4 res fix, to get the resolution you just can't do the GUI unless its all stretched and looks horrible

Hopefully somebody will make one soon though!

Classic GWX GUI for all resolutions 16:9 (1920x1080, 1600x900) and 16:10 (1900x1200, 1680x1050, 1440x900, 1280x800) are being done. In the case of low-resolution will be a scaled version of this GUI.
GUI in HD causes serious memory problems in SH3 because of the size of the texture, so it must be the most cost-effective and based on small reusable textures.

Yes, but for 16:9 GUIs. So far there is no d3d9.dll (and cameras.dat) 16:10 version, so you will need to use this for 16:9. This (probably) will mean a small distortion of the 3D effect that all the characters are a bit more slender.
16:10 resolutions will be finished until when I finish a project SH3 GUI editor. Its state of advancement is about 60%.

Can you just redo MaGUI WS, very quickly so its 16:10 resolution? I think we would love that so much more than the classic GWX one. It looks so much better and is great! I will ask him the same thing. If anything, I will have to stick to the classic one then thats ok to I guess

Sorry but for now it is impossible. It will be possible when I finish my SH3GUI Editor project.

Thanks, this is a great mod. Is there anyway you can make a version that is compatible with the Integrated Orders option addon for GWX? That would be fantastic!

Yes, but not quite. Integrated Orders Mod has some problems and inconsistencies in the orders, so I prepare a special version of the GUI, which is an enhanced version of this mod (I hope). It will set to work with the crew and will have clearly separated the commands available to the captain. Now it looks that different GUI (default too) flounce between the concept of where the captain (the player) can handle the ship itself - in particular make yourself whole torpedo attack (which in fact was not possible), a hypothetical concept in which the captain without a crew can afford mainly to do manicures and view their own journal. I think we sort out this situation and be clear about what is done by the captain and which requires a rested and trained crews.
Additionally, I am trying to accomplish in this version of what was the concept of this option: The ability to effectively play with one hand using only the mouse and not losing anything in relation to the player using the keyboard.

Is a 16:10 version going ahead or has it been scrapped?
Edit: I just read Post #11 - Nuts!!
