Default Quick Review of Grey Wolves by Phillip Kaplan

Finished by audio book version of Philip Kaplan's Grey Wolves. Overall it was a good book to begin researching the Ubootwaffe. It goes back to the WW1 days and the sinking of the Lusitania which was some interesting back story. I enjoyed the chapters that explained how Doenitz managed the patrols, the routine of the crew and how the allied campaign began to close the advantages of the U-Boats. What I did not care for was a few chapters going into great detail about Allied patrols. I felt the time could have spent telling the stories of UBoat crews on patrol or even before they went.

That being said, it was worth a listen. I would recommend the book to any newer UBoat enthusiast. Now, onto Iron Coffins and Das Boot!
