There's so much on here that i have spent quite a lot of time reading through the posts and sticky's and to be honest its nice to seed such an active game unlike DW where i come from.

Basically i am looking for recommendations i have some bugs in SH5 which are well known keeping depth is one of them, but id like to play through the campaign fully something i've never been able to do!

Id also like your recommendations on which mods to put in as well, i also hear on the grape vine there is a type IX mod coming?

Your recommendations are appreciated

Thanks i hope this works i would like to start playing more often does a MP community exist though?

It works perfectly as long as you follow the installation instructions properly. There is a multiplayer community on here I believe. Not sure which simulations though.

Im still trying to get a grip with the navigation which is baffling me at the moment with the mod

I just got Silent Hunter 5 and I'm guessing that the Harbor Master that you are using are part of a mod?
