Default Installed But Not Working (Due to MODS)

Hello all. I just installed the Add-On from the download file.
Machine crashes when loading program.
I'm not sure if having TM 1.7.6 has anything to do with this Add-On.
Help please.

Thanks

You must not have any mods installed when installing U-Boats. And once you have U-Boats installed, it will break compatibility with just about every mod out there, especially super-mods like Trigger Maru.

The only mod I'm aware of right now that does work with U-Boats expansion is the new HUD colors mod by Jimimadrid

Default Installed But Not Working

I have just taken out every mod and am now getting a list a mile long of "missing files"
I think I will reinstall SH4 & start over.

With the UBoat mission do you still have access to the original allied side. Reason I ask is the original shortcut to SH4 stopped working when I put in UBoats as well.

Thanks

Yeah the UBoats expansion uses the same shortcut as the standard SH4. Once you get to the main menu you then have the option of selecting an Allied campaign or a UBoat campaign.

BTW, you can install UBoats over a stock SH4, no need to patch to v1.4 first, since UBoats patches it to v1.5 automatically.

Working now - I uninstalled the program, reinstalled v1 from CD, then installed UBoat Addon & it works great. I have not had alot of time with it but from what I've seen it looks real good. Lots of new features. Once the Modders get on to it, it will only get better!

Default Maybe later

I'm downloading Uboats now, but won't install it now. I personally think the modders have done such a good job that it would be a sin to dump them for this new thing.

I am quite pleased with what I have loaded and have two missions out with existing mods. I intend to finish these and then decide on the new stuff. Apparently you can continue previous saved campaigns if they are in port when you use the new patch.

However, having to give up the great stuff in my mods, that will be hard to accept. The Uboats didn't do that much historically in the Pacific to warrant the attention.

We are SO priveleged to have all these fine mods. I won't desert them easily. In my lifetime I probably won't complete more than one campaign, and none if I keep starting over with new stuff. Yikes ! :rotfl: :hmm:
