Default Buying a hardware in Japan...looking for a graphic card

Mina sama, konnichi wa

I know it`s probably not the very best site to start such a topic, but... I need some info and I presume I can get it here.

In next week I`m flying to Japan to work there for 6 weeks. Apart from visiting Kyoto, I`d like to buy some stuff there, especially brand new graphic card, costing aroud 150-300 USD (or perhaps up to 10,000 Y ).
Any ideas, where could I buy one ? And which model could You recommend ?

My current PC has Barton 2.8, 1024 400 MHZ DDR kingston and K 7 Triton motherboard. I have to buy an AGP ONLY card, if possible fully compatible with Dx 9 and all the shaders...

Sorry for so moronic question, but I have completely no idea now about the hardware I can buy there. And I wish I knew something before arriving .

And, by the way: I`ll be extremelly thankful for all the WORDS in Japanese concerning the matter... with apropriate Kanji my computer vocabulary in Japanese is a black pit I`m afraid.
Thank you

Hello, thank you for visiting our forum.
Well, if you want to get your bland-new graphic card, you had better visit Osaka.
Osaka is close to Kyoto, and you'll get there about one hour by train.
And I advise you to go to the place called "Nipponbashi". Because there are so many electrical shops in Nipponbashi and we can get PC parts there cheaper than others, of course you can find duty -free shops there, too!
Sofmap is one of big and famous PC stores here. I think they have abundant stocks about PC stuffs. So you will be able to buy what you are looking for easily there.
Visit their website :

And if you want to know anything about Japan, the website below could help you.....

Good luck!

Perhaps it looks like a thread necromancy, but I managed to upgrade my PC in Japan, getting GeForce 6600 GT and a good sound board. Great thing, cheaper than in Poland, and...
OK, it will be off topic, but Japan is SOO wondcerful country !
Thank You
