Default Does weather ever change? Clouds?

Does the weather ever change in SH4 Wolves of the Pacific? I have not seen a cloud yet in two missions in the campaign game.

It does change.
Old bug in 1.4 version, I understand, is that if you go over 2048 TC, the weather you have then might "freeze" till you end patrol.
I read that and avoided that scenario till I installed "gold".

In both v1.4 and 1.5 (unmodded) I have played, the weather is among the most interesting parts of the game... Clear, sunny skies, rain squalls, thuderstorms, fog with sea states from glassy sea to 3-5 foot swells...

While I'm at the plotting table, the deck watch reports a contact and I maneuver into a firing position, but am unable to identify it until it's REALLY CLOSE due to heavy rain or fog. Adds a bit o' spice to the game!
