I've flown around in SF for a few years and never once thought of letting go of the stick.

I've heard a lot about IL-2 and thought I might pick up a copy from Amazon once Christmas blows over. Are there any good jet addons for it (primarily Cold War, any nation)?

Nope, no cold war planes, except for ones that were included in mods, but they have horrible flight models. the only jets in Il2 are the ones that flew in WWII (and some others of the "what if 1946" scenario, but I don't take those seriously). So you would have to stick with Me 262, He 162, Arado 234 and YP 80.

The YP-80, MiG-9 and Yak-15 all went into service after World War II, so they can be considered Cold War jets.

I forgot about the MiG 9. The YP 80 was already ready in WWII but arrived too late in Europe and couldn't be shipped fast enough to the Pacific to see action IIRC.

Yes, but I think those were just pre-production aircraft rushed into service before it was really introduced into active service.

That's why it's called YP 80 and not P 80 Shooting Star.
