Default Is there a larger diameter gauges mod?

Hi all,
Did anyone mod the three gauges in the lower right corner?
At my age with cataracts, they are a tad too small for me to see them well.
Did anybody happen the mod them larger?

Thanks,

Well, yes we did!

For the stock SH4 game version 1.4.....use this one.

For the stock SH4 game version 1.5.....use this one.

Both can be found in the "Downloads" section of this Forum (use the Menu link at the top of this page). Silent Hunter 4/GamePlay Mods.

Two items;

1. I use the medium size from the mod, I found that the large were difficult to use since they overlap too much.

2. Instead of wearing reading glasses or squinting through my greasy bifocals, I asked the optometrist for computer glasses.

http://www.allaboutvision.com/cvs/computer_glasses.htm

Reading glasses (or the lower part of bifocals) are focused at the wrong distance for computer monitors, so they came up with these.

Hi Sniper,
It's not the glasses. I do have custom made PC glasses and have for many years. It's the eyes. They are old with cataracts. No glasses will compensate for cataracts, unfortunately.
I need everything BIG, just to be able to see it.

Thanks, guys. I believe one of these will do the trick.
Yes, yes, yes, the medium size is perfect! Good advice, Sniper.

I now would like to know what Webster modified in the, menu_1024_768.ini file.

off the top of my head I recall it was to make the orders box at the top of the screen a little smaller in size and with a transparent background instead of black background, this did not change the size of the font in it, it just covers up less of you screen and all you see is the text and not a big black box in the middle of your screen

download "winmerge" and use it to open a modded text file along side an original stock game file and winmerge highlights and points out exactly whats different in the two folders. this is a great tool for undoing things you may not like about a mod or adding something you do like to a different mod that has its own version of that file modded in a different area.
