Nuke Bstanko6's Radio Channels

Hey guys! I never promoted a mod before, so I will do it here. I made this simple mod to share some of my favorite music with you.

It's simply an addition of radio channels for your use. The different version means more songs if you want them. Read the description to know more.

It's based on the TWoS 2.2.9 radio setup. Simply place into JSGME, activate and your channels will be placed in this order:

Departure = freq 11: 4 great songs for use while departing the harbor. 2 songs from SH3, and 2 movie soundtracks including Das Boot - Auslaufen, and Crimson Tide - Roll Tide.

Grossdeutscher Rundfunk = freq 22: Your typical German radio with music and news.
This freq came with TWoS and was not altered!

London = freq 33: British era swing from around the Isle.

Paris = freq 44: Feeling romantic? Try this!

Washington = freq 55: Swing and military music to make Uncle Sam Proud!

Algiers = freq 66: Feel like squeezing into Gibraltar? Do it in style.

All sound are .ogg files, and can be customized to your liking. Enjoy!

Download here:

Version 1 without Tokyo channel

A Version 2.0 with a Tokyo channel and more departure music!

Version 3 has all of V1 and 2, but now with a Rome channel, and more departure songs. For your info, some of the departure songs are modern, but add that epic flare when leaving the pens. Enjoy!

My final version. Oslo and St. Petersburg have been added. Enjoy!

By request, an SH4 version with only Washington, Departure, and Tokyo channels. The radio.ini file was changed to work with a vanillia SH4 radio folder. Have fun. You can find this on SH4 downloads: Sound FX.

Here is my Gramaphone file. I have a lot of mid 30's music I know you will love.

Thanks I appreciate that. This mod is a “starter” radio mod. I am already thinking of more songs and channels to add to this. But this is enough to get started.

Cool!

So it includes the BBC radio mod also?

The more music the merrier the men are!

I will check if it works on 2.2.7

Not upgraded to 2.2.9 yet due to in-mission.

@Ashikaga, it does nothing to the stock German radio TWoS comes with, it only assigns a new channel freq for it to make room for the other channels. Basically I’m only adding British, US, and Mediterranean music. I particularly like the Departure songs!

Be sure to let me know how you like it. What other channels and songs to add? I was thinking of a monsun channel.

That could be great if it is period music yes

What I meant with the BBC Mod is that mod which has the BBC channels of World War Two full of programs and music. Dunno if it worked on dates also though. (This one by LesBaker: http://subsim.com/radioroom//showthread.php?t=221022)

I understand now... no this is a simple add on to the radio that already comes with TWoS. There are BBC files designated in the .ini file I customized so I’m sure they are on there in the German frequency.

Ok will check it out!

I normally just added mp3 songs in the directory of the radio playlist. Hilarious to go full speed with Snoop Dog on air...

@Ashikaga...
Just read your previous post. I do believe it works for 2.2.7. You can upload this mod in-patrol, because it only affects the radio files.

Hi bstanko6,

Great mod, thanks! In case you'll expand it in the future, this might come in handy (you can find here list of top hits from every year, 30s and 40s):
