Yes, and you do not know how much of a relief it is to have actually shot something down instead of watching everyone else shoot the AI down. Hopefully now we have more targets I will get some more kills
Hopefully! By the way Spud, that bi-plane thing is an I-153, I thought I saw a couple in our first dogfight but wound up following the MiGs. It may look outdated and obsolete, but put it in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing, and it's bloody deadly. |

Oh yes, the P model. Thank god we didn't encounter that so far. Extremely manoeuvrable (like all I 153s) and four 20mm "kick your fascist a**" cannons.

I think we've ALL been shot down by that thing. Particularly if Hunter happens to be flying it at the time...

I' give the Ruskies props on the I-153 its a deadly biwinged beast and yet its no match for the Brewster Buffalo!! So Finnish pilots would swear by them as being better than the Russian planes(The Buffalo is one of the better planes in an unmodded offline campain that the Finns get next to the Hurri.)

Well... Hunter and schroeder had alittle "fun" in ther HE 111. And I took a fighter... most of my wing killed thereselfs early on... only one of my wingmen decided they wernt gonna crash into the ground...
The JU88 standin... He He time for alittle suprise... HELLO!!! (hunter got a suprise looking down...) eventualy the fight started, my wingman got killed early, and I was all alone... with about 13 russians... But eventualy I got one... He was doomed! OAH S***!!! This was just abit or my problem... eventualy the fight was too much... and I couldnt fly level with no ruski getting on me... I lasted for almost the entire flight... but in the end my elevators gave up on me and we crashed... I got 3 or 4 ruskis out of it all, just too much to be defensive and attack at one time... hunter and schroder made it back... schroder fine... but hunter... aaahhh, not so much... (he droped the soap... schroeder partice flying with his feet...)

Did you preform the Cobra Maneuver, Task?
Oh wait, the BF-109 have no thrust vectoring ability. You can't own the skies.

The flight with Schroeder wasn't so bad, apart that I had to look at my own Six from time to time to make sure he has his hands on the flight controls.

The only bad part about the flight was that I live in a 3rd world country.
Just before take off my ISP quit on me (why, oh why did I mention earlier that it hadn't done that for three months in a row???) so we had to abort and restart. The flight itself went perfectly. I found targets, my aim was good and right the second before the release.....the lights flickered for the 10th of a second and IL2 froze....power spike..... Il2 finally recovered about 20 seconds later but the lag caused the bombs to go straight to Moscow instead of dropping on the target. We got some minor flak damage on our way back but were not harassed by fighters (good job TF). Let's hope the changes in DCG will make this campaign enjoyable. Right now it's like being on a Typ II U-Boat in 1945 in the channel with GWX installed.

So, our plan to return to the Gulag did not work entirely well.
