Default Trigger Maru 2.5 not working

I am a noob to SH4, but I purchased the v1.5 through SubSim. I downloaded TMO 2.5 and the SH4 CMS (so I am/was working with a pristine install), among others. I've used JGSME with a different program, so I'm not worried that my problem is there, BUT when I install TMO, it does nothing. The splash screens are the same as vanilla, TMO doesn't appear in the Main Menu and the nomograph doesn't appear on the navigation screen, even when installed all alone with no other mods.

I don't have the small patch installed, but my understanding is that it only makes changes to the campaign. Am I mistaken? Do I need it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Swabby John

P.S. When I went to tag this post I saw a tag for TMO 2.7... am I behind the times already????

No, TMO 2.5 is the last. First, a few questions:
1. What folder did you install SH4 in? You should avoid the "C:\Program Files (x86) \Ubisoft" folder like the plague. Re-install it to a folder of your own naming.

2. Did you use the Windows archive manager? If so, then you may have double TMO folders. Look in your MODS folder, and you should see a folder "TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5". Look inside of that folder, and if you see another folder "TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5", then there is the issue. Be sure and de-activate TMO, and then drag that second TMO folder out from the other, and re-activate TMO. (You'll probably have to put it in a temporary folder.)
The "TMO_25_small_patch" mod gets rid of the Terrible Tambor, which the only problem is that your boat won't upgrade. It is advisable to use it, unless you put RSRDC (Run Silent Run Deep Campaign) on top of TMO, then you wouldn't need it. If you do use RSRDC, be sure and check-out Ralles RealModPack with TMO / RSRDC and OTC (Optical Targeting Correction).

I installed it in a separate folder, not "C:\Program Files (x86) \".

I'll be sure to check the double folder problem. I've made that mistake in the past elsewhere and have been looking for it but, who knows, I may have missed it in this instance.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll let you know how it goes.

Default Thank you

Well done on your diagnosis.

Obviously, I rate no more than the bilge rat, as indicated in my header.

Thanks again.
