I love SH3 and always will. That said, I've complained about it fairly consistently throughout its fourteen years of existence. There are people here who still play and love Aces Of the Deep. None of that has anything to do with praise/criticism of UBOAT. Everybody has their reasons for what they like and dislike, and to those people their reasons are valid ones.

Please stick to the topic of the thread. I don't want to have to lock it.
Aces of the Deep...now that was a game!

It's amazing to think that the last SH we had was nearly a decade ago! I remember those games keeping me somewhat sane during a prolonged bout of internet outage (six months to be precise), I never imagined that those games would basically be all we would get for the foreseeable future.

So thank goodness for UBOAT, let's just hope it's the first of many to come, now that the big boys are no longer interested in making subsims!

Hi guys,

I just bought this game and have only played it a couple of hours. What i'm sure : no, this game is not a joke, at all !

It's in early access, so .. Let's give time to the developers.

It's a nice surprise for me. First, the sea is amazingly beautiful ! And management of the crew is a nice addition.

I'm a SH3 lover, and i like this game and hope it will be great. Simple as that.

It's a good game. Plenty of bugs, but I'm sticking with it. SH5 had a plethora of issues, but was sorted out in the end. I suspect UBoat will be similar. I really do enjoy the the mechanics underneath...ventilate, ballast, fixing failures, crew, etc. Needs some work though.

Agreed. I actually enjoyed SH5, once the mods started to roll out. UBOAT isn't Silent Hunter, but that's not a bad thing.

1. Canadian ships use the modern flag instead of a Red Ensign.
2. British flags use a Union Jack instead of a Red Ensign.
3. Royal Navy ships use no flag at all.

If Ubisoft did that, we'd laugh at them hard and downvote the game. How can we tolerate it with this one?
Your first post is an impressive one, well done.

Maybe you should wait for Flag Simulator 2019 instead.

There are already flag mods out but since the devs update the game on daily bases it's pretty useless to install.

This game needs time, there are already mods and the dev is online on Discord and listens and appriciates the ideas and bug reporting . There have been multiple patches since launch ( 4 patches in 1 week) that make the game better. But yeah, you have to complain about flags. I don't get what drives people like you to post this.

The title of this topic is just to invoke reactions, in my opinion you have no valid reason to title it like that.

I'm glad i'm one of the people helping to develope the game, i also like the concept of UBOAT. It's something else and a very real part of normal submarine operations often overlooked in simulators.

So for me it fills a niche, i think the price is very cheap and it'll all be alright in the end.

Also i like to be involved in developing this game, i've been on the UBOAT Discord Channel since day 1 almost a year and a half ago and just to see the work done already gives me hope for this game. This isn't just a Fallout Shelter game, we got some really high level conversations and improvements going on, that might surprise you..

Seriously, Modding in the correct flags takes about the same amount of time as it does to write 3 posts complaining about it.

Just for information, from the B119 Patch :
"Flags of some countries are now divided between the navy and the merchant fleets."..........some people do not understand what "early access" means...
