Default TVT doesn't work

James there are 2 possibilities:

1) Do you have TvsT installed in the C:programsX86 folder?

If yes then install your game in another folder ,If you want to keep it in the C: drive then create a new folder where to put your game.I have read posts in another forum that putting your games in the program files with Win& rsults in games not starting.\ideally create other partitions where you can put your games.

2) RE-install Direct X9C;while Win 7 contains Direct X10 and thus should have Direct X9c incorporated the version of Direct X9 that it contains is not complete and is missing some dll files essentials for some of the older sims to run.Best to re-install Direct X9C .I picked the June 2010 version whic is recent and complete.I have TvsT installed on my pc with Win 7 HP 64 bits and it works fine. But I installed it in a separate partition and re-insalled DirectX9C.

Cheers
