Default MH-60R torpedoes

Hi guys, I've been playing this Helo alot to learn how it all works.

I've got everything covered except the torpedoes.
We carry MK 54 and MK 50 with the MK 50 having the shorter range.

Here's the issues I'm seeing:

Even when I switch to cheat mode and fire either of the torpedoes, they always miss?
Just today, I shot 3, one after another at a sub within a mile from me in cheat mode. Autocrew was off, they all went right by the sub?
The sub was at 1500 ft, I had the torpedoes set to 1500 ft as well, with a activate range of 1000 yds (Sub was 1nm away or 2000 yds).
I watched the Sub after launching torpedoes and it "remained" at 1500 ft.

Another thing I've noticed is the Autocrew gets stuck..And I'll try and explain what I mean.

The same sub above, at 1 nm. With AC On, Assign 1 torpedo, it had a activate range of 12000+ yds!?!?!? The sub was 2000 yds.
Turned AC off, Assigned and Unassigned the torpedo again, turned AC back on, same thing, 12000+ yds?

Granted, these torpedoes are shoot and forget (since there is no way to guide them after launch), but dang, I've shot like 10 and have hit maybe 1 target sub

I have no idea what's going on..I also have WeaponMalfunction Off in the DW.ini

You have to drop them close to the target but not TOO close. You'll get the hang of it.

Also what mod do you use?

Finally this is a sim more than 10 years old that does not work on Win 8. So, sometimes unexpected glitch might come up. However, I have never experienced that glitch. Did you try MH-60 demo?...The glitch can be coming from the way a mission was written. MH-60 demo works just fine.

I'm on the RA Mod 1.42b

I've had better luck using "circle mode on the torpedoes..
At least when they miss they can...circle and re-engage.

It works really well when you are Active pinging the target..makes the torpedoes home right in there lol
