You'll need all seven of the GWX3 bin files plus the GWX3.exe file. Be aware that there have been problems with downloading from FF lately but I think they were getting sorted out... might want to PM Jimbuna to make sure before starting to redownload. He also has some other options like a torrent or single file download if you're interested in that.

Now I KNOW FileFront just plain hates me. Can't seem to get anything off it. Not even the tiny torrent file for GWX3. Any other mirrors for the torrent file or the actual bin files.

Well I just googled it and found it fairly quikly, there is like no seeders though so it will take a while. I will seed until there are seeders again.

Yeah saw that. 0 seed and 2 peers. But found alternate mirrors on MediaFire, 3 pages up this thread. Its a huge mod but all downloaded. Too tired to test the integrity of the files and then install. its past 2am where I live now. Got to be up in 4hrs.

I think I need help. I got my SH3 from Steam and when i try to install GWX it tell me that it has been modded and that I need a clean copy.
How do I get a clean new install?

Is it not possible to obtain a further copy from Steam and install it into a different location?

The primary requirement for GWX3.0 is that it should be installed into a fresh/unmofified version of SH3, patched to 1.4b.

I should imagine the Steam version will already be patched.

Hey oztruck - I had the exact same problem with steam, thing is that it installs it away from the location the GWX installer is loooking for, when I pointed it to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\silent hunter 3

It worked fine.

I'm using windows 7 though so yours may be slightly different

if so do a search for SH3.exe and then copy the path...

hello everybody,didn t had time to read all pages but i have a question.
Why GWX 4 didnt released,i saw videos on youtube and i really liked it,SH5 is damn not good,even the speech is like robots talking,the beginning is terrible,just out of the blue an allied merchant shows up and the periscope is up on surface......You cant manage your crew except from the officers,its s..t arcade.....the dynamics of the submarine are not real,the only think i like is the water.
