Default Suck it up

I don't know whether Rhodes ever found his dream umbrella, but I'm at a dead-end trying to find a hand held rechargeable vacuum cleaner that actually works... none of them seem to have any suck!

Can someone please recommend one that they have used and that actually works? This is not a gag...

What's the matter? Are you having a hard time cleaning the nut shells and cheesy crumbs out of the squirrel cave?

I thought Dyson made good stuff but I don't have a hand held.

Default ^ ditto that!

Dyson DC34: some of my techs use them to clean out filthy ATM machines-fast recharge and goes about 15 minutes. Buddahaid makes a Star-Trek version prop!

That looks expensive.

Thanks a lot, Jimbo, very useful. I think the Dirt Devil "Gator BD10165" looks good. It's cordless too, which is what I wanted.

@ Buddababy LOL!

(Ramius left a filthy mess in the clubhouse after his birthday/Christmas party and I had a hell of a job on)

Yes but you can also reverse the airflow: fill it with paint; create your Pollock type canvases; write the thing off on your taxes; and retire a wealthy man!

I found the dirt devil portable vacuums do a great job and are reasonably priced . I have a few and generally will do a good job cleaning up when the squirrels get out of hand after a night out on the town

That was not spamming when saying a vacuum cleaner sucks, it wouldn't be much of vacuum cleaner if it didn't!!
Sometimes you go overboard Jim but then you are the boss!!

Message went to Eichhörnchen for his opinion!

ANYWAY.... my sister-in-law showed me her rechargeable Dyson last weekend (like the one in Aktung's post) and she says she can do the whole house with it in 20 minutes on just one charge. I think I'll get one of those.

STEED's place would probably require something with a bit more stamina

I use the Milwaukee 0882-20 M18 18V Cordless Lithium-Ion Compact Vacuum because it uses the same battery as my other power tools. My wife liked it so much that she made me get a second one to keep at the house.
