I see new textures in the screenshots.

In all fairness, it would be a perfectly reasonable thing to do. SHIII control room models had great detail and I honestly never saw much of a change in terms of detail in SHIV - save for the normal maps and post-processing.

...can it be the 28th yet?

I played no more than a couple of hours, mainly starting new campaigns (de & us) trying out the new equipment screen, I also 'purchassed' a superhero sonarman but didn't have the chance to use him yet. I don't intend to play it seriously untill it's TM-ised. I just figured i'd get my hands on it while I was in the shop.

As far as I can tell, the graphics engine has been optimised, it runs so much smoother (in 3d environments) that I was able to turn volumetric fog & lights shafts back on and it's still very smooth.

TC seems to have changed, I noticed it was locked at a certain threshold in certain conditions (*3k when passing near a convoy). It also looks like they have graphicaly retouched all the interfaces (again, hard to say as I was always running it modded).

The new 'situation mini-icons' are a nice touch (how many time did I forget to stand down from battle stations and ended up like a sitting duck).
