[REL] Question for the Tech savvy ship modders. (TWoS)

Hey all.

I have a question concerning the ship upgrades. I now have a nice VIIB in 1940 with an extra flak platform which I should not get before 1943, and which is A: Experimental and B: was only used in the Mediterranean.

Why is this? If I look at my historic source material on conning towers (and snorkels) I should really have a different conning tower with added/extended flak Platform.

The upgradeschart is also completely wrong:

Would it be possible for any of the ship designers/modders who can change stuff in the forum to for instance upgrade TWoS to have actual correct conning tower upgrades during the correct periods? (I wish I was capable enough to mod this myself but I am not.)

You are totally right on that. That graph is a total mess and, though partly fixed by various mods/megamods, sub equipment availability is not entirely accurate in game either.

While not the easiest task, fixing U-boat upgrades is certainly possible. Maybe one day I and Vecko, or Vecko and some other willing modder, will fix that

I sure hope you can manage that so the game will become even more historically accurate! I wish I could mod, but I am not that proficient sadly.
