I might just have to check the demo out. I have always wanted a civilian flight sim since Sierra's Pro Pilot. Just never got around to it. Anyway, I was checking out the requirements. They seem benign enough, except for how much HD space you need. I have never seen a game require so much space - 14GBs! I've got a 250GB HD with still about 80% left, but 14GB is still a very large chunk. Here are the entire requirements for those interested:

System Requirements
  • Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista
  • Processor: 1.0 Ghz
  • RAM: Windows XP SP2 - 256MB, Windows Vista – 512MB
  • Hard Drive: 14GB
  • Video Card: 32MB DirectX 9 compatible
  • Other: DX9 hardware compatibility and audio board with speakers and/or headphones
  • Online/Multiplayer Requirements: 56.6 kbps or better for online play
I didn't see them listed at any other site I checked out. Somehow, I even managed to miss them on Microsoft's site.

Why is it that I do not trust those specs, especially CPU and graphics board?

test it and delete it afterwards

- horrible performance on my system in medium settings
. AMD 64 X2 4400
. 2GB Ram
. GeForce 7800 GTX
( high/ultar high setting not playable )

- switching views in flight results sometimes in black rendered cockpits and pink oceans:rotfl:

- some CTD's

A demo should actually be an advertisement for a game, but however not in this case Microsoft!
Thus you do not get my money for this game.

That sure don't sound very promising. I'm downloading it right now and it is 56% downloaded. If it ran like that on your system I wonder how it will run on mine...

AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1GB Ram
Abit Radeon RX700-Pro

My system is not as good as yours and it runs ok at Medium-High settings (haven´t tried a higher setting yet). Have you maybe forgot to change "Target Frame Rate" from 20 to Unlimited?
