we all love submarining and that means for all of it we have more in
common with either our friends or our adversaries here, than with do
with our friends that play GTA mainstream
(man I hope that aint a kettle o fish)

Walmart...I really hate Walmart but were else can you go and pick up a package of underwear, a circular saw blade and the PC game you have been wanting all in the same stop? :rotfl:
No doubt.

I hate Walmart too... especially checking out.

At first I thought they hired zombies... but now what I think is that they become zombies AFTER being hired. (Overheard the management one early-morning forcing employees to clap and sing the "Walmart Cheer." No I am not joking... they really do that every morning... makes ya wanna puke... Poor employees being labotomized.)

One of my recent shopping lists for Walmart:

Coffee
Tropical fish food
Aquarium heater
.30-.30 Ammunition
Hanging file folders
Document shredder
Black button-up shirt
Mop bucket
Whatever DVD movie looks good
Potatoes
Broccoli
Transmission fluid
Socks

Rediculous isn't it? We feed the juggernaut that kills small business to save a bit of fuel. Almost makes ya wanna cry.

(and then some zombie-employee forgets to de-magnetize a sensor label so you can be embarrassed while leaving... "DING... you have activated the Walmart inventory control system... please put your hands on your head and cease all movement immediately or be vaporized!")

Putting "underwear" and "circular saw blade" in the same sentence is just wrong .

I do a lot of my shopping at Wal-Mart. It's the only place I can afford anymore. I just bought a five-pound ham, cheese, tomatoes and bread for the next two weeks' lunches - all for less than $15.

I worked there as an overnight stocker for the Christmas season a couple of years ago; and yes, it's true - everybody does calisthenics and chants the cheer before every shift. Reminds me of stuff I've read and seen about Japanese workers.

That is the only good thing about Walmart. One stop shop. Check out on the other hand is a trip. 20 registers and 3 open. Then you run into the person whos bank card does not work. Then it is 40 minute discussion on how it just worked over at the liquor store an hour ago. My all time favorites are the shoppers on the cell phones pushing empty carts around blocking the isles.

Is this really going to devolve into a "We hate coperate america" thread?

Cmon people theres plenty of blogs out there for that kind of thing.

Also why all the hate for the ubm? If nothing else it consolodates all the patches into one convienent package. So what if the Uboat campaigns arent exactly historically accurate? You dont have to play them.

Furthermore the add on would have never been what it is without the modders. I just wish they had recieved more than a passing nod for their work.

I look at it this way, they passed out the plate and I made a small donation to keep the series / genre alive by showing interest.

Oh and last I checked Home Depot dosent deal in underwear
