Default Question About Ship Damage

Hey, i have a question about damage in the game. In the single mission courageous, i landed two torpedo on the carrier. It did not sink. When retrying the mission i landed one torpedo only and it sunk completely. Im a bit confused on how that works. Is there a certain point on a ship i have to fire at to sink it? and if i dont is there a minimum amount of torps that need to hit to sink it? With reference to the illustrious fleet carrier.

Hi M

An aircraft carrier is quite large and usually built for purpose so as it can sustain a certain amount of damage.

Your 2 torpedoes in regards to SH3 AI would depend on where they hit and at what depth.

This is known in the game as a critical hit, again the AI determining the outcome as to whether 1 torpedo is enough to sink a large warship of over 20,000 tonnes.

Hi A
For some reason I must have forgot to add it in my spreadsheet at the time.
Easily rectified, thank you.
