The Slot map started in November. No one had a clue, frankly. We have no official tools except the FMB (with some bldconf.ini changes so it edits maps not missions). The rest is photoshop, etc. We have to figure out what things do with no help.

That said, the Slot is now the best Pacific map for IL-2 based on map area and map selection, hands down. It it better visually than every other PF map except Burma (done by Ian, not 1C)---and we've not even finished it. Seriously, released as it is, it would be the best map except for Burma by along shot, and it would be nearly equal to Burma. When we're done I hope it's every bit as good visually as Burma.

And it has something no other PF map has, a really good choice of location and SIZE. For the PTO it has a remarkable 1.5 years of combat possible with planes on both sides taking off and landing at their RL bases.
