Default Why is my watchteam blind!!!!!!

Ok so Im having a REAL problem with my bridge watch team being blind as bat. I was just bombed by a Swordfish and the watch didn't see it until the bombs where falling! Is there a fix for this?

How's the weather ?

Sometimes you can see zip from sea-level (mist, sea-spray..etc) , when an aircraft can see you.. and just glide/idle quietly into the attack.

It was actuly perfect weather. And this has become a trend lately. Not spoting AC or ships until after they pass. Or ram me.

Your config settings...

[TIME COMPRESSION]
TimeStop=0
RealTime=1
LandProximity=8
CriticalDamage=1
CrewEfficiency=2
AirEnemyDetected=1 ******* <<<<
SoundEffects=2
CharacterAnim=2
EnemyDetected=1
RadioReport=1
Particles=2
PrayState=8
HunterState=8
3DRender=16
Maximum=128

And of course a lower Time Compression always helps...

Side Note: I see your spelling hasn't improved after a 3-5 year absence

I checked and that's what I have for TC. Whats annoying is that this didn't used to happen.

I had this when first starting out on the game.

What it ended up being, is that my transit TC was too high, and I'd be taking damage as the game reverted to 1x TC, too late for the crew to 'spot' an a/c.

Then someone mentioned that a TC equal/less than 256 was the best for spotting a/c. I've since then always run at a max TC = 128 and never had an aircraft sneak up on me.

I also use a lower fatigue model... maybe the watch are dozing.
