Thoroughly enjoyable day! A marina dock neighbor persuaded the captain, a fanatic professional photographer, to take pictures of him in his boat from our boat.. after which... with one of the skipper's own cameras, the photographee became the photographer! The good looking 'Kid' is in the foreground manning the port jibsheet!!

After which...our photo duty done: the ship's first officer (the kid) acted as steward doling out the customary Chardonnay 'grog ration' to all hands!

I'm trying for tomorrow night and off Friday just to see how I hold up and maybe back to normal next week. Over the worst of it but still got to keep doing my exercises. I do not recommend sciatic pain not one bit!

Unable to sleep. My great-aunt, aged 96, had stroke in early October but she survived that with speech impairment. Unfortunately as parting gift from hospital she got infection into leg which led to necrosis. She survived amputation surgery and was recovering relatively well.

Now she has got necrosis in remaining leg and is not strong enough for another amputaation surgery. Even though she is of advanced age it is still hard to accept that she is now in hospice care and nothing else can be done.
