This overhaul looks amazing graphically, especially with the high-res widescreen integration. I'm definitely going to try it out.

However, I haven't been able to find much information about the general concepts behind the mod. How much of the stock gameplay has changed, outside of the new visuals/ui? Damage and flooding models? Theaters of operation (black sea, pacific, baltic, etc)? Radar and sensors? Historical stuff in the campaign layers/minefields? Aircraft coverage and how much of a threat they are?

For me it is no go. I installed SH3 (Steam version), moved it to new directory with no spaces, installed LSH3, activated main mod only. I can see new menu, but when I try to load any career or naval academy I always get CTD.

I have W8.1, run the sh3 in compatibility mode and as the administrator. Anyone has/had such problem? Any hint or solution?

So I tried with non-Steam version of SH3 and it works now with no CTD...

Hi guys,

I'm looking forward to be playing the new SUPERmod
Only It crashes just as soon as the loading bar has been filled.
I've played the GWX mod before and that worked fine also with the JSGME
It looks like everything installed correctly.

Hope somebody has some ideas what it could be.

Edit: Ok I didn't realize I had to activate the mod :S I will try again :P

At first i wish you all a healty and great year 2016.

Since my before-xmas-stress-days i read all the new posts right now.

I’m speechless about the constructive dialog and especialy about the great support from all L/SH3 players here!!!

Also I feel very sad about my very limited English to give here adequad support to all the important questions.
(I feel also very bad about Lemmy and Bowie dies – hear the stuff every day – but this is another story)

Now i read all the posts and try to give some “understandable” answers, so good as i can:

As i wrote you just before by PM (sorry again for my late response), please contact our LSH3-Blueduck direct per Mail (Blueduck@lsh3.com)
Blueduck is our GUI OLC specialist and the only guy who play LSH3 with GUI OLC in our LSH Team yet.

Don’t give up so fast! Like other V15 players say: LSH3 Edition 2015 works fine and stable.
Such i understand your CTD-Problem yourself do something wrong.
1. In every CAREER beginning year u MUST ALWAYS start and COMPLETE the first Patrol/Feindfahrt in ERPROBUNGSSTELLE, without any Boat changes
2. Back in Harbour ERPROBUNGSSTELLE > quit the game > restart SH3 > and load the Career. If this works… all be fine.
3. Now you can change the Flotilla! Try this and give some feedback about.

Tnx for your very exactly report about the short (how i calling) “no responce” situation.
Sometimes i have it (like u say), sometimes not.
All we can say – we have not a damn clue why this “can” be.
But, like you wrote, after restart SH3/reload savepoint all works fine.
I hope we can collect here more informations about this unknowing “Bug”, to solve it.

Please tell me what u mean exactly with “better compass on the navigation map for plotting a direction from my sub”?
Do u mean another small/big/other COMPASS Instrument in the Console or something special just in the NAV map view?

After DL the LSH3 Edition 2015 files just start the Supermod Installing by execute file “LSH3-EDITION-2015-STARTER.EXE”.
If u have [FONT=&quot]message "Can not open...LSH3-editon-2015-full.exe as archive" the downloaded files are NOT COMPLETE.
Download all file/s again – by low/instable (wireless) connection speed use the “Free Download Manager” Tool.
Read the LSH3 DOWNLOAD and INSTALLATION MANUAL (Page 4)
By the Way: We got seriously Feedback from Win10 User that Browser CROME have some problems by DL, but not Browser IE and FireFox.
Anyway > Use “Free Download Manager” by problems like "Can not open... as archive".

The WWII Swastika Flags not exists in Edition 2015.
We (LSH) must respect the (silly!) EU law in this case.
To all Modder: Feel free to create and publish V15 compatible “Swastika” mods.

Since 2009 (LSH3 V4) all original LSH3 Supermod Versions available here: www.lsh3.com
(click right/top corner to choose/download older original LSH3 Versions – don’t load other untrustworthy filescopys!)

If your SH3>LSH3 Installation crash every time, something is wrong by your SH3 original Version installation.
Witch Windows Version u have? Mabe this helps:

1. Uninstall ALL SH3 Files! Restart Computer…
2. Install the SH3 original Game in a new/specific folder (like: C:\Games\SilentHunterIII)
(Read Page xxx from LSH3-INSTALLATION-MANUAL PDF)
3. Download > Install LSH3 Edition 2015 by start file “LSH3-EDITION-2015-STARTER.EXE”

4. Follow the Install-Steps > after installation and auto configuration (4GB-Patch, HSIE-Patch, JSGME, COMMANDER) is done…
5. At first only activate the main V15-FULLVERSION Mod… and Try/Test the new game Installation by a ACADEMY Mission
6. End the Academy Mission and end the SH3 game.
7. Now u can activate additional Mods (GUI WS) and restart the game

Be shure your Graphical Settings are correct!
Read the LSH3-INSTALLATION-MANUAL !!!
After that, Report your following problems here.
(so, i just refresh my browser and read good news by Grundwald… he get it also :-)

Shure... it is still like i wrote befor!

Means specific to you:

1. Start the L/SH3 Game
2. Start new CAREER
3. Select "Year 1942" and Flotilla "ERPROBUNGSSTELLE" (default)
4. Start and compled this first "ERPROBUNGSTELLE" Mission (no changes on Boat, Crew or Flotillas!)
5. Back in Harbor "ERPROBUNGSSTELLE"... quit the Game!
6. Restart the Game and Load your CAREER
7. NOW u can upgrade your boat and/or change the Flotilla!

I hope this is specific enought to you :-)

Try this and give some feedback here.

If you want to use KM attack disc, you can use unofficial additional OLC GUI enhanced_OLC_GUI / WS.

It fixes bugs and adds KM back and Tycho KzS Notepad.
KM front works more like Hitmans attack disc.
Kompass always up to date, bearing in sync with the periscope/UZO.
Adjust only enemy direction by hand.

You can follow examples in MS Forum how to use. Only in German.
Activate after _LSH3-2015_GUI_OLC/_LSH3-2015_GUI_OLC_WIDESCREEN
