Welcome to Subsim odinds.

Sailor Steve's right about SH3 Commander. Just started using it a few months ago and I don't regret it. Makes it a whole new game.

I presume you have the GWX cfg for SH3 Commander installed?

If not, it is available from the link above my sig (GameFront).

Is it possible to modify the maximum zoom setting for the Uzo, Attack Periscope, and Observation Scope in GWX? I'm used to it being at 10, and being able to use Ctrl+Mouse Wheel to zoom in incrementally. Is this possible at all?

I do indeed have the cfg files, i noticed i needed them. And merc fleet mod ctd the game, my graphics card cant handle it (generic intel hd card), same as the wilhelmshafen mod, damn. I'll just have to update it. i'll see about manually adding ships one by one instead till i get a ctd

......did i read somewhere that i can get a 4gig performance mod thing for win7 x86 that improves the performance of my system for the game? i'll have to have a look for that if it exists and i wasnt imagining things.

Thanks. I'm running Windows 7 32bit on a laptop with 8GB's of RAM, do you think I need to run either the 4GB or 3GB tweak? The laptop is brand new, so it runs SH3 flawlessly.

Debateable but probably not if everything is working okay...the only point I'd make is that IIRC 32bit only recognises about 3.6GB of memory.
