The wife is out picking some belated christmas presents with his mam and the daughter is here decoraring the interior and exterior of the house with banners and balloons for the birthday girl.

I can't get blamed for this

Drinking coffee again.

Had to buy a new hair trimmer today as my old one is so blunt it would not cut a wet paper bag. Gave the new ones a spin today and feel so much better, good bye hippy hair.

Has it got a nose hair trimmer? You can also use that for those thick wiry bushes growing out of your ears

Default Super blue moon lunar eclipse

Early 2 bed tonight: Gotta be up at 05:30ish this morning to catch spectacular predawn full eclipse of the moon and Napa is expected 2 B a front row seat for viewing the total event. The moon is a 'super' moon as the orbit is especially close to the earth and it is the second full moon (blue moon) of the month. The sky was clear this Teus. morning for a spectacular 'moonset at around the same time so I'm hoping fog and clouds will again not be a factor for tomorrow's Wed. morning event.
Quote:
The moon will appear near the western horizon and will first start to move into Earth’s shadow, called the umbra, at 3:48 a.m. PST,”. "A partial eclipse will be observed for more than an hour as the moon moves deeper and deeper into Earth’s shadow until it is totally eclipsed, beginning at 4:51 a.m.
“Totality will last for an about an hour-and-a-quarter, with mid-totality occurring at 5:30. At 6:08 a.m. the moon will begin to leave the Earth’s shadow, and the subsequent partial eclipse will last until 7:12 a.m., which is near the time of the moon’s setting and also about the time of sunrise

The wife reckons it is time for a change of car so I've booked a test drive for a Nissan QASHQAI Tekna next week.

The Smart Vision pack is also included, and adds Traffic Sign recognition, lane departure warning, forward emergency braking, which detects severe braking ahead and intervenes if it thinks you haven’t spotted it. There’s also blind spot warning and a system that detects driver tiredness. There’s also an opening panoramic sunroof, and front and rear parking sensors.
Jeeze!
If u wait a year they'll probably have a self-driving version. I note the diesel car is not available here and the manual is £250 more than the automatic. Maybe I can rent one when I hit London town around March when the house repairs are (finally)done. I've looked at and tested a local Nissan Versa myself to replace my '86 Camry (240,000 miles) and the '05 work Corrolla (234,0000 miles) At $12 K the basic sedan is cheap; without all the mindboggling technology and, at the rate I maintenance-hoard my Japanese cars in road-salt free California, should last till the end of my days. The wife wants me to get a 2018 Camry though...We got her a 2015 Subaru Forester (w/o the turbo) to replace her reliable 2000 Subaru Forester. Both my wife and daughter have been rear-ended in their Subarus and still driven away unhurt while the cars that hit them were totaled; so I'm a big believer in the ladies being in SUV's!
