Good job. Having played RSRD a long time, looks good, see all my honey spots.

Default 3D TDC and TMO

I just tried to install 3D TDC and Radar Range Unit. From what I had been reading on the other thread about this mod, it sounds really kool. Note that I am using only TMO and RSRDC in my MOD list. Also, the MOD hasn't been noted as being compatable, but Ducimus said that it shouldn't cause any problems (I think I read that right).

I installed the MOD (in port), then tried it out using the 'Single War Patrol' #1 (Pogey). The TDC and RADAR came right up, and seem to be working together OK. Then I tried using the Radio/Convoy pull-down map, and all that would show was the extreme lower left corner of the map - no radio at all, just the corner of the map. TMO does change the UserRadio.dds file (verified by loading Convoy Map for TMO + RSRDC ), but the 3D TDC MOD has nothing to do with that particular file.

I disabled the 3D TDC mod, and loaded up again. The Radio/Convoy Map work just fine (either the TMO or the RSRDC model). I tried several times more, always with the same result.

Has anyone else noticed this behaviour, or am I just unique?

Are you running an earlier version of the radar mod?
It is now up to v1.02
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1901

Earlier versions had their own menu.ini.
Nisgeis has removed this file from later releases.

Using earlier versions the menu.ini re-sized the nav map tools and chronometer. It's entirely feasible it also changed the radio, as it is this file that the contain the entries that attach the map to the radio.
(Please note Nisgeis, I haven't tested this - I'm just theorising)

Try v1.02 Radar mod Roger Dodger, and report back if it still doesn't work.

EDIT: I've just read the release history.
The menu.ini was removed from v1.01 onwards -
'v1.01 update. - Relocated displaced send sonar range and send sonar bearing switches. Removed menu files to make it kinder to TMO.'

What version did you have? The first version probably would cause a problem, but the latest updtaed version v1.02 should work fine, or at least shouldn't alter any of the relevant files. Sergei uses the radar mod, so it should work OK. You don't have to wait to be in port to install it either, it can be installed at any point.

EDIT: Sergei beat me to it! I was theorising too :-).

Thanks Sergei and Nisgeis. Indeed, I have the earlier version. I'll D/L the newest edition and give it another try. BTW, where is the tutorial? There is several mentions of it in this thread, but I haven't found the location.

Thanx again.

Default Request

Loaded mod up for TMO2.0

Have a small request though, as someone who is not familiar with the Pacific would you be able to do the map to include the time zones so I can easier figure out what the real time is? Please

Thanks for the mod sergi. My single biggest problem (at least with the game ) is that I can't find convoys. Hopefully this will help to alleviate that problem.
