Default A new U-boat

Hey guys,

The year is June 1940, I am sailing the seas in my Type VII, which I got bored in. Is there any way for me to be offered a Type IX u boat without starting a new campaign.

Any help will be appreciated.

P.S : I use Operation Monsun mod

You have to wait until they give you a new submarine.
That can take time.

Or you may change flotilla asking for transfer after returning to port.

Or you can edit the file CareerTrack.upc in the SaveGames folder. You can start and save a dummy career with the boat you want. Copy and paste the starting information into your on-going career. Make sure you make the event numbers sequential. If you browse a few of the CareerTrack.upc files, you should be able to get a sense of what event blocks you need. It takes a bit of care and observation, but it's not rocket science, either. And submariners ( even simulated submariners ) have a rep for being resourceful.

DO save a copy of any files you plan to change before you change them. Then you will be able to get your career back if things go tango uniform.

I'm running Operation Monsoon. I dream of a day when I have a deck gun. The type II is a bit slow but she works very well at being very quite when avoiding escorts ... I like that. I once took a pounding while sitting on the bottom. My engines got damaged in an early depth change barrage so I could make little head way and decided to sit on the bottom all quite and hope for the best. I had charges all around me but it held together enough for them to think me dead. I really had no speed at all until I go the the surface and made my way back home.

It is June 1940. They will not allow me to transfer at all. Always Nein!! So I am biding my time running around English shores and hoping down to Gibraltar where to sinking is good. I am glad there is a resupply station near there. Five fish do not last long with all the duds and merchants that are available for sinking down there.

I'm well over 99,000 in renown but there isnt anything to spend it on.

We just sank a Rodney Battleship off the southern end of the English Channel. We took a hard depth charge barrage for over two hours. At one point we were flooded so badly we had to lay on the bottom and just take it. I can't believe I'm alive.

we were in water only 64 meters deep. Too flooded to try and move. The beast finally left and after 3 hours of work we were able to surface out of torpedoes and heading home.

The Rodney sank after two torpedoes struck her which I was aghast at. I did not think it would have sank with only two. I have never hit one before. I first hide near the sunken battleship hoping they would not hear us but their ears were on fire for us. We slowly moved off north but after two rounds of close depth charges we can to rest on the bottom and waited for death.

Work men ... work faster ... 6 men dead now ... I had their bodies moved the crew berthing ... everyone else was working and I knew if I had not moved their bodies the sight of their friends husks would have pailed their bones into submission. Nein!! ... Work Work Work .... and now we are free and heading home with our departed friends, comrades ... our brothers who shall know the soil that lay upon their bodies.
