Default new Dido

Hello,

after long silence some news.

The new 3D model of the Dido is almost finished. Considering the time I can spent on it the estimated release will be in December.

For those who may wonder why working on the replacement of an old model - here's a comparison of the original SH3 Dido model, already improved by a GWX texture. Well, it meets the most striking features of those ships ... (the SH5 model of the Dido is essentially same):

Finally, a collection of deguises:

Very very nice work as always The_Frog !

a small request: is there a place that i can download all of your finished ships for sh3 (with their last update library)? or ,even better, a single pack of them ?

ps:i had a small 'accident' on a backup disc and lost the downloaded ships

Hello makman94,

all models are available on my mediafire account but it is pretty messy and things are no easy to find; you actually need the links. You could retrieve them all here at subsim but that would take a while. I plan a major overhaul since ages ... well ...
The other idea is to prepare sooner or later packages of ships and uplaod them to subsim. One single package holding all ships would be massive but probably I can provide one within the next weeks.

Cheers

P.S.: Not so long ago I accidentially almost deleted my mediafire account, which is the major backup of all my work ...

All the lovely pictures of the Dido models in various SH3 versions posted over the last days gave me enough motivation to proceed with this project

First museum tests; model is still not completely edge-splitted, which causes the strange surface effects.

@makman94: I did small changes to almost all my older models, mainly to make them fit my own mod soup. So, I now need to see if they are still compatible with other SH3 versions.
Placing all what I did so far in one file will result is a fairly big archive

i have no problem with large files (what is the issue if you have them all in one?). But if it is more comfort for you to have them splitted ,that is ok too
